October 17, 2025
Plusman LLC (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Partner: Yujiro Otsuka), in collaboration with SMC Medical Tourism Japan Division (Headquarters: Sapporo, Hokkaido; Division Director: Katsuya Sakagami), has entered into an agreement with Ha Dong General Hospital, a Level-1 public hospital in Hanoi, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, to conduct clinical validation and research utilization of Plusman’s medical AI programs. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam and the Hanoi Department of Health.
Vietnam’s First Clinical Validation of Multiple Medical AIs
This initiative will validate the following AI solutions:
- Plus.Lung.Nodule – an AI medical device program that detects pulmonary nodules on chest CT,
- Plus.CXR – an AI program that detects thoracic findings including tuberculosis on chest X-ray,
- a digital pathology diagnostic support AI program developed by a partner company, and
- FFR AI, which estimates fractional flow reserve (FFR) non-invasively from coronary CT angiography.
Both Plus.Lung.Nodule and Plus.CXR are certified medical device programs in Japan.
In addition, PidPort, a cloud-based digital pathology AI system developed by Medmain Inc. (Headquarters: Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture), has started operation. This marks Vietnam’s first initiative to simultaneously deploy AI technologies across multiple domains — respiratory, cardiovascular, and pathology.
Establishment of “Vietnam–Japan Cooperation Committee” at Ha Dong General Hospital
On the same day, Ha Dong General Hospital established the “Vietnam–Japan Cooperation Committee.”
Through this initiative, Plusman aims not only to provide AI technology, but also to promote the dissemination of Japanese-style clinical workflows and operational models practiced in Japanese medical institutions.
